Infrared Photography, an alien world invisible to the human naked eye, yet great masters of this medium have sought to enter this magical gothic world, one renowned name being the late Sir Simon Marsden who enticed us all into this spectrum of grain, shadows, and highlights of an unknown world, revealing those unseen ghostly dimensions.

I had first met Simon at a lecture he was giving, his deep charismatic voice held the audience spellbound, they gazed in silence as they all followed him into this portal of haunted archaic castles, graveyards, and churches, listening to the tales which were told to him in his childhood of spectre’s from beyond the grave, we were later introduced in the evening, and we both had our photographs taken together, the compere said ” its not often you get the greatest infra red photographer, and a renowned UFO photographer together under the same roof” the audience laughed, we became friends, I often liaised with Simon and attended more of his lectures, on occasions I sent him photographs, I am so very lucky to own books signed to me by Simon, and to now own some of his photographic gear, which I have subsequently used to capture my lesser version of Infrared Photography.
